We first opened our doors in 1988 as dB&C, a custom software development business specializing in database applications. Our projects included both commercially available as well as proprietary applications. Over the first 5 years of business, we realized that software development was merely one factor in many needed to properly address complete business solutions. Beyond our software, other technology systems were also integral parts of that same business process. Until those other systems were addressed, the total value of improvement frequently would not be realized. Increasingly, we found ourselves working with our clients to solve problems that extended well beyond our software development role. It became clear that a need for an organization capable of addressing all aspects of technology existed. Thus, we redefined ourselves as Netcon, Inc.

Beginning in the mid 1990's, we began to retool our skills with vendor training. Initially we pursued training in hardware and networking; then we followed with accounting applications, security, wireless, and telephony. This transition period was the beginning of a business evolution that continues today. As technology advancement exploded, so did the importance for its integration with business. Netcon has grown from just application development to a broad technology services provider. We are partners with many manufactures in the hardware, software, and security industries.

Netcon's support services currently includes: network architectural design; infrastructure; server, desktop, and network support; sales and implementation; accounting applications and customization solutions; wireless; surveillance; disaster recovery; telephony; and network security. We have business partnerships with several specialists to augment our expertise to the fullest extent possible.

In 2009, Netcon extended our technology services to Champaign, IL. This new addition will provide our customers with over 100 years of combined technical experience.

Our business model continues to expand into new technical areas as they unfold. In essence, we have become a technology consultation force for our clients. Our clients have found that proper investment in technology solutions is returned in operational efficiency and reduction in long-term costs. We do more than sell technology, we integrate technology with business.
